Good morning. Tverskaya/Pushkinskaya/Chekhovskaya metro is open.
We have a communion service this evening at 7:30pm. We are looking at John 15.1-8, about what it means when Jesus says that He is the vine and we are the branches; what it means to 'abide' in Jesus and to 'bear fruit' for God.
On Sunday after the 11am service, we are delighted to invite Oleg Voskresensky who will give a talk on the "Historic foundation of the Christian faith". Oleg is a missionary with Faith Search International, teacher of theology, Deacon of the Orthodox Church in St Paul, Minnesota. He has lectured throughout Russia in Moscow, St Petersburg, for the Far East Orthodox Diocese, at the Catholic Youth Conference, for teachers at the Ministry of Education, etc. His talk is free, about an hour, all are welcome. It will be in English.

Thy Kingdom Come is a joint Churches prayer initiative, in the 9 days in between Ascension and Pentecost. As we celebrate that Jesus is risen and Lord of all, and as we prepare to celebrate the gift of God’s Spirit at Pentecost, so we pray that God will pour out afresh His Holy Spirit on us and on His world. Follow the link to find out more and sign up if you would like to receive daily emails.

The grey line going through Chekhovskaya metro station will not be working for the next few Sundays due to repairs.
Good afternoon! This Sunday we celebrate Pentecost and the coming of the Holy Spirit. It is a special service, and will be made more special because a number of our confirmation candidates are going to reaffirm their baptism vows. We are not having our usual shared BBQ after the service (that will be on the last Sunday in June), but it would be wonderful if people could bring things to share as a celebration after the service.
